A 10" x 6" planer thicknesser with excellent finishing results and a price tag bringing it within reach of the home workshop. The surfacing beds are manufactured from cast aluminium with extrusions for the fence and cutter guard. A quick action clamp adjusts the guard for varying widths of timber and a finger pressure is fitted to the end to hold the work piece against the fence during edge planing operations. The bridge guard can also be quickly adjusted vertically using a hand lever to give the correct height when surface planing.
For thicknessing operations the outfeed table is removed to give better access and a hinged guard, which doubles as a chip collector, swings into place over the cutterblock. The thicknessing bed, supported by four columns, has a steel cover fitted to provide a tougher, longer lasting surface and can be set anywhere up to a depth of 150mm. When timber is placed on the bed, drive rollers feed it past the cutter at 5 metres per minute reducing the thickness by upto 3mm each pass. If an extractor is to be used the dust hood can be fitted over the cutter guard.
Supplied with reversible planer knives, cabinet floorstand, 100mm dust extraction outlet, micro switches to detect guards are correctly positioned before use, cable and plug.
